Hmmm. What happened yesterday:

1. Woke up at 11am. Was awesome, because for once I didn’t feel like I wasted the whole day. (However, I woke up at 12 today. sadeface. )

2. Didn’t work out. Boo.

3. Went and got my black and white film back! Yay! That means I get to stay afterschool tomorrow making contact sheets and prints in the darkroom, a very comfortable place to be in.

4. Got a survey filled out by the supervisor at PhotoHub, which means I have 5/30 surveys done for my business coursework. My sister is going to get the rest for me. I love having a sister on a gap year. That means I can sms her during school for something and when I get home, it’ll most like be there.

5. GOT CONTACTS. And a new glasses frame. OMG. I ENDED UP SITTING THERE FOR AN HOUR TRYING TO GET THEM IN AND OUT AGAIN AND ITS THE MOST WEIRDEST FEELING ON EARTH NOT WEARING GLASSES FOR THE FIRST TIME IN LIKE 9 YEARS. I like having the choice of not wearing glasses. :D But oh my god, everything seems bigger without them! And I really need to get started on covering up my eyebags hehehehe.

Yes, I ‘cried’ trying to get them in. YOU TRY STICKING SOMETHING IN YOUR EYE WHEN YOUR EYELASHES JUST KEEP ON PREVENTING YOU. I didn’t cry out of sadness, my eyes cried out of lack of moisture. And my nose started to run.

6. Then I went out with my parents for dinner at the American club, where we, as awesome Jews who are very nosy, overheard the people next to us having a weird conversation. Basically, there was just this couple and this one guy who was a dad. The dad said “Oh, and she has a great rack. And I know I shouldn’t be saying this about a 14 year old girl.” UM WUT. CREEPY. And then he went on to say stuff like “Oh, our house cost $3 million, but we need another million to fix it up!”

Yus. That was my day

It’s uncanny how my sister and I relentlessly make fun of hipsters yet we like everything they do. :/

But seriously, I am cruising Mod Cloth’s clothes and some descriptions like the Space Odyssey Skirt are so nice I really want to buy it. It’s not like I have many clothes right now because I haven’t really been shopping in a year + but reasons why I probably can’t:

a) it’s not Channukah yet

b) they are probably too small for me. God, I want to lose some weight.

Same Sex Penguin Couple

Harry and Pepper are a pair of adorable male Magellan penguins at the San Francisco Zoo. The couple’s relationship began in 2003, and they were together for the last 6 years. The two black-and-white birds paired off when outgoing Harry befriended Pepper, an introvert who sticks mostly to his burrow. At the time, the two were adolescents and everyone assumed they were just friends. But soon they were nesting together. Harry would gather grass and bring it home to Pepper, who would arrange it tidily in their burrow. Single females would come around, but both birds never seemed interested.

They even adopted an egg together in 2008, as the pair was allowed to incubate and hatch an egg another penguin had laid. “Of all of the parents that year, they were the best,” Brown said. “They took very good care of their chick. He ended up being the largest chick on the island.” Sadly the happy couple broke up in 2009.
